The Our Lady of Hope boys basketball team from Portland won the State U-12 (grade six) AAU Championship at Bonny Eagle Middle School this past weekend. The boys, who primarily attend Lyman Moore Middle School, finished the tournament 4-0 beating MB Nation Duchaine by a score of 59-45 in the final. Terion Moss paced the winners with 13 points followed by Connor Buckley with 10, Griffin Foley and Owen Martinson with 8 each and Emmanual Yugu with 7. Also scoring for the Ladies were Charlie Egeland, Sabri Najar, Andy Ilody and Omar Contreras. Contributing great defense and rebounding off the bench were Blaise Vail, Zach Broome and Griffin Buckley. The boys will be taking a week off before traveling to Foxboro, Massachusetts on April 14 and 15 for the New England Championships. The team is coached by Peter Buckley and Wade Martinson.
