Maisie Silverman and Mike Hill won the USTA Silver Ball by placing second in the recent National Open Mixed Doubles tournament in Newport, Rhode Island. Hill and Silverman were the top ranked mixed doubles team in Maine for 2013 according to the Maine Tennis Association and have been ranked first in open mixed doubles in New England in 2014. Hill and Silverman lost, 4-6, 6-7 (7), in the finals to Janelle Prisner from St. Johns, Michigan and Warren Race from Dallas, Texas.
