MPL offers year-round lacrosse

The Maineiax Lacrosse Club, formerly Maine Premier Lacrosse, is Maine’s first year-round lacrosse club. The club is run by boys’ director Sam Lane, the head men’s lacrosse coach at the University of Southern Maine and girls’ director Lauren Reid, formerly of Deering High and currently the head women’s coach at USM. Offerings include club teams, recruiting services, camps, leagues, private lessons, instruction and clinics for boys and girls ages 9-18. The club is based at the Portland Sports Complex, where fall and winter programs, along with private lessons, clubs and tryouts will be held. Rec camps in Gorham, Wells and Lewiston are also upcoming this summer. FMI, maineiax.com.
