New volleyball team holding tryouts
The newly formed 207 volleyball club will hold tryouts Sunday for U-12 and U-14 teams. Tryouts will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at Brunswick Landing (the former Naval Air Station). FMI, 798-0614 or207volleyball@gmail.com.
Pickleball Classic upcoming
The 2014 Maine Pickleball Classic, a USAPA sanctioned event, will be held Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m., at Deering High School in Portland. There will be under-60 and over-60 divisions with men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Admission is free.
RSU5 coaching openings
RSU5 has coaching openings for a co-ed indoor track coach at Durham Community School (season runs through the end of March) and co-ed indoor track, 8th grade baseball, 8th grade and 7th grade girls’ lacrosse coaches at Freeport Middle School. FMI, 865-4706, ext. 228 or sickelsc@rsu5.org.
