Velocity soccer holding tryouts
The Velocity premier soccer club is holding tryouts for its spring 2015 teams. U-15 and U-17 boys and girls try out Saturday, July 12 from 12 to 1:30 p.m., and Thursday, July 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tryouts are at the Gorham Sports Center. Maine Basketball Hall of Fame golf fundraiser upcoming
The first Southern Maine golf scramble to benefit the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame will be held Monday, July 21 at the Falmouth Country Club. The scramble begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The five-man team entry fee of $625 includes two carts and an awards luncheon, scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. FMI, 504-6182 or tfmaines@comcast.net.
