Local students make dean’s list

Keene State College: Kayla Purinton and Seena Ritchel.
Providence College: Allison Walton.

University of Vermont: Emily E. Estes, Marshall T. Shepherd and Zachary J. Theberge.
Brunswick student takes over Congress
WASHINGTON D.C. — Sen. Susan Collins, co-chairman of the U.S. Senate Youth Program and the first delegate from the program to be elected to the Senate, recently welcomed Brunswick student Julia Brown to the Capitol.
Brown, a U.S. Senate Youth Program delegate, addressed the entire class of 2012 delegates as the organization celebrated its 50th anniversary at the National Archives.
Back in Brunswick, Brown is Brunswick High School’s student liaison from the student government to the school board. She has also been president of the Youth Advocacy Program, member of the Maine Youth Tobacco Council, student representative to the Wellness Committee and secretary of the Theater Project Youth Board.
