BATH — Conservation organizations around the Mid-Coast are offering birding excursions this month and in May.

A walk through the Kennebec Estuary Land Trust’s Sewall Woods Preserve in Bath, led by Ted Allen of Merrymeeting Audubon, will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 19. The group will meet and carpool from the CVS at the Bath Shopping Center, Leeman Highway, at 7:30 a.m., then hike along Whiskeag Creek looking for migrating waterfowl. John Berry, a veteran birder with the Harpswell Heritage Land Trust, will lead a walk through the Skolfield Shores Preserve in search of spring birds at 7:30 a.m. Friday, May 9. A walk through the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust’s Crystal Spring Farm in Brunswick will be held at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 15. Allen will be back at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 31, to lead birders through the Thorne Head Preserve in Bath, which is rich with vireos and migrating warblers. Participants can meet at the Bath CVS at 7:30 a.m. to carpool.
