Brunswick, Morse and Mt. Ararat all had their moments this fall and each school placed plenty of athletes on Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference soccer, field hockey, cross country and golf (football wasn’t available at press time) all-star teams.

The boys’ soccer Class A south division first boys first team included Brunswick’s Zach McMillan, Pete Morrell and Justin Rosner, Morse’s Ryan Talbot and Mt. Ararat’s Tim Bickford. The second team featured Brunswick’s Brandon Sawyer and Mt. Ararat’s Will Bouchard.

Rosner was named Player of the Year. Brunswick’s Peter Gardrner received Coach of the Year honors.

Brunswick’s Evan Didisheim, John Faherty, Nick Henshaw, Connor Kelly, Morrell and Rosner and Morse’s William Beveridge, Benjamin Cook and Charles Spear qualified for the All-Academic team.

On the girls’ side, the KVAC south division first team featured Hillary Champagne, Christina Damon and Alison Walton of Class A state champion Brunswick, along with Morse’s Anna Lozano and Mt. Ararat’s Randi London and Jaymee Wallace.

The second team included Brunswick’s Rebekka Miller and Samantha Roy, Morse’s Katie Henrikson and Mt. Ararat’s Haley Michaud.

Brunswick’s Taylor Caron, Damon, Eliza Halmo and Miller and Morse’s Sarah Fitzgerald and Meagan Hennessey qualified for the All-Academic squad.

The field hockey KVAC first team included Mt. Ararat’s Hayley LaPointe.

Brunswick’s Kyia Jensen and Mt. Ararat’s Meghan Carr were named to the second team.

Mt. Ararat’s Kelly LaFountain was selected Coach of the Year.

Brunswick’s Annah Holmblad, Danielle Tetu, Olivia Tetu and Abby Theberge, Morse’s Cailley Bonti, Mallory Plummer, Alejandra Rodriguez and Julia Walker and Mt. Ararat’s LaPointe and Audrey Petterutti qualified for the All-Academic team.

The cross country KVAC boys’ first team featured Brunswick’s Liam Cassidy and Will Geoghegan, along with Jason Kaake of Morse.

Geoghegan was named the KVAC boys’ Runner of the Year.

Brunswick’s Cassidy, Geoghegan, Michael McGlinchey, Connor McGowan, Simon Tracy and David Wright, Morse’s Keifer Boguhn and Kean McDermott and Mt. Ararat’s Daniel Van Note qualified for the All-Academic team.

The KVAC girls’ cross country all-star team featured Brunswick’s Kathleen McMahon and Mt. Ararat’s Kate Spies and Emma Wood.

Mt. Ararat’s Diane Fournier was named Coach of the Year.

The All-Academic team included Brunswick’s Elly Brown, Chelsea Bruno, Cassie Ditzel and Erica Noe, Morse’s Kaitlyn Hershey, Karen Mullen and Hannah Roy and Mt. Ararat’s Ellen Pinnette.

On the links, seven local golfers were named to the KVAC boys’ and girls’ Class A team. That group included Brunswick’s Luke Carter, Nate McCue, Joe Messerman and Brad Smith and Mt. Ararat’s Michelle Brann, Henry Fall and Linnea Tilberg.

Brunswick’s Jasper Lowe, Alex Toole and Matt Worthing, Morse’s Michael Orr and Mt. Ararat’s Fall qualified for the All-Academic team.

Brunswick’s Alison Walton was named a KVAC first team all-star this season.
Morse senior running standout Jason Kaake was named to the all-conference team for his efforts.
