GRAY — Michael Paul LeTarte, 53, died Nov. 25. He was born in Brunswick on Feb. 12, 1959, the son of Raymond and Nancy (Huppe) LeTarte.

LeTarte grew up in Brunswick and graduated from Brunswick High School, class of 1977. After graduation, LeTarte worked for Shaw’s Supermarkets and then Amenity Manor, before he became disabled. In the spring of 1998, LeTarte moved to Gray Manor, where he made many friends who became family to him.

He was the local cribbage champ, and if anyone wanted to play a game of cards, he was the man to beat. Sports was another passion of his. On game days you would find him rooting for his favorite teams, including the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots. He was a man with a big heart and will be sadly missed by all those who loved him.

He was predeceased by his mother, Nancy LeTarte.

LeTarte leaves behind his father, Raymond LeTarte, of Brunswick; sister Melanie Robinson and her husband, Robert, of Brunswick; nephew Joshua Smith, of Brunswick; a niece, Jessica Smith, of Auburn; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral was held Nov. 28 at St. John the Baptist Church in Brunswick. To share your thoughts and condolences with the family, please visit www.desmondfuneralhomes.com.
