PORTLAND — The 14th annual Festival of Nations will run from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Deering Oaks Park.

Festival spokeswoman Shalom Odokara said her son, former Portland resident Michael Odokara-Okigbo, known by his Michael O. stage name, will headline the festival performances. Michael O. currently lives in Los Angeles, where he has a singing, songwriting and acting career that has included a role in “Pitch Perfect 2” (starring another former Portland resident, Anna Kendrick). He first gained national attention as a leader of the Dartmouth Aires a cappella group on NBC’s “The Sing-Off.”

Festival performers will also include the Irish Dancers, children’s multicultural chorus Pihcintu, and Steam Reggae.

Odokara estimated 5,000 people will enjoy the festival and its two stages of live music. Entertainment for children includes train rides, games, clowns, face painting and crafts.

Festival admission is free. Food, beverages and gifts will be sold.
