PORTLAND — Greater Portland METRO is looking into new options for how riders pay bus fare.
It’s offering an online survey to determine if riders would be interested in using smart cards or a mobile ticketing app to make paying for a ride easier and more convenient.
The bus service operates fixed routes in Portland, Falmouth, Freeport, Yarmouth, South Portland, Westbrook and Brunswick, with connections to other local and regional transit systems.
