TOPSHAM — The eighth annual Tour de Merrymeeting Bay on Saturday, Aug. 14, offers 25- and 50-mile rides along water views and scenic vistas in Topsham, Bowdoinham, Richmond, Dresden, Woolwich, Bath, West Bath and Brunswick.
Proceeds from the rides help support Topsham’s Head of Tide project on Cathance Road.
The 50-mile trek will take off at 8 a.m. from the Foreside Recreational Area on Foreside Road in Topsham, while the 25-mile version will embark at 10 a.m. The trips will culminate in Topsham for a cookout.
Registration is available at the Topsham Parks and Recreation Department at 100 Main St., or via a form at www.topshammaine.com/tmb. The 50-mile ride costs $40 to register, and the 25-mile is $25. The cost is $70 for a family of two or more.
