TOPSHAM — Mereen “Brud” Robinson Jr., 52, died Nov. 10 after a short battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side.
Robinson was born and raised in Phippsburg, and attended Morse High School in Bath. He later worked as a commercial fisherman in his home town. His passions in life included hunting, trapping, fishing, writing and spending time with his family and friends.
He was married to Peg Cunningham Robinson in 1987 and they remained together for 15 years.
He is survived by three children, Jeni LaClair LaBarbera, of Poland, Joshua Robinson Sr., of Phippsburg, and Ashley Robinson Wandrei, of Topsham; eight grandchildren; three sisters and a brother.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Androscoggin Hospice House on Stetson Road in Auburn, or to Ashley Robinson Wandrei, 71 Clearview Lane, Topsham, ME 04086 to help defray funeral costs.
A brief funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m., at the Phippsburg Sportsmen’s Club.
