FREEPORT — Memorial Day activities will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a parade starting at Freeport High School on Hoolbrook Street. The parade will continue north on Main Street to School Street and down to the town park on Bow Street.

There, the town ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. with an introduction by Town Council Chairman Bill Muldoon. There will be a performance of “The Star Spangled Banner” by high school student Kate Breau, and school bands and choirs will perform.

In case of rain, the program will be held in the high school auditorium at 10 a.m.
