FREEPORT — On Monday, Sept. 14, the Winslow Park Commission will hold a public meeting on its dog policy.
The policy requires dogs to be leashed between May 1 through Columbus Day when the campground is open. From Columbus Day through April 31, dogs are permitted off-leash in the campground off-leash, but must be under voice control and within 16 feet of their owner. At all times the dogs must be cleaned up after and are not allowed on the beach, in the flag pole area, volleyball court or playground.
The purpose of Monday’s meeting is to hear input on the policy from those who use the park; discussion will be limited to one hour.
The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. in the large meeting room at the Freeport Community Center, 53 Depot St.
