PORTLAND — There will be a meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 6, for anyone interested in volunteering in the Portland public schools.
The Portland Education Foundation is sponsoring the orientation from 4-6 p.m. at Riverton Elementary School, 1600 Forest Ave.
The meeting is a chance for people interested in volunteering to meet Superintendent of Schools James C. Morse Sr. and to learn more about what’s happening in the school system.
