YARMOUTH — The McDonald’s on Route 1 closed on Tuesday. The fast-food restaurant was in business for 18 years.
Owner and operator Ron Lydick said it was closed due to age and location. He also said the inability to have a drive-through hurt the business.
Lydick said he “would be happy to have a Yarmouth-based (McDonald’s) restaurant again in the future” if he could find a suitable location. He said no location is currently available.
All of the employees have been offered jobs at other McDonald’s locations, he said.
