BRUNSWICK — Christopher McCarthy is running unopposed for the School Board District 3 seat after he turned in his nomination papers late last week.

Incumbent James Corey said he will not seek re-election because of a new job. His term ends at the end of December.

Two other people took out nomination papers for the seat, but didn’t return them in time for the Sept. 7 deadline.

Federico Senence is challenging incumbent School Board Vice Chairwoman Corinne Perreault in District 4.

Joy Prescott, a former member of the Conservation Commission, and Dale King, a current member of the Personnel Board, are running for the School Board at-large seat being vacated by Michelle Small.
