BRUNSWICK — Mary Elizabeth Robinson, 95, died Dec. 25.

Born in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada in July 1914, she was the middle child of Lucy and Michael Gregg. 

In 1936 she graduated with a degree in nursing from Saint Joseph’s School of Nursing College. After graduation, she moved to New York City where she was an operating room nurse and met her husband, Dr. Henry S. Robinson.

They moved to Somerville, Mass., where she and her husband developed a successful family practice and clinic, and raised two sons.

An admirer of art, she learned to paint and was a docent at the Boston Museum of Art.

After her husband’s death in 1968, she and her sister Margaret moved to Wareham, Mass., and helped manage her son’s boatyard and marina.

In 1994 they moved to Palm City, Fla., where they made many new friends.

A loving mother and friend, her strong faith guided her throughout life and inspired her generosity, kindness and joyful personality. She always enjoyed a good party.

She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1968 and her dear sister Margaret, who died three years ago.

Surviving are two sons, Skip Robinson of Brunswick, and Dr. Donald Robinson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and their wives, Annie and Caroline; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held at Saint Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church on a date to be determined.

Arrangements are by Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.
