BATH — Mary Delia (Boardman) Titcomb, 89, died peacefully on Nov. 2, with her family by her side.

Titcomb was born Jan. 30, 1925, to Linwood and Gertrude (Rines) Boardman. She attended Bath area schools, graduating from Morse High School in 1943. Shortly afterward, she fell in love and married Louis R. Titcomb in 1948.

Mary held many different jobs throughout her life, most notably working in the offices of Bath Iron Works for 15 years. She also worked in the engineering department of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft.

Titcomb was an active member of Bath Area Senior Citizens as well as the BIW Women’s Luncheon Association. She enjoyed spending time at her camp on Monson Pond, and had a great love for animals.

She is predeceased by her parents, as well as her brother, Lawrence J. Boardman, and her nephew, Daniel C. Reed.

She is survived by her family, including Connie Boardman; Cindy, Heather and Regan Reed; Sarah and Sadie St. Pierre; and Nancy, John, Josh and Jason Darling.

Visiting hours and a funeral were held Nov. 8 at David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, in Bath. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Titcomb’s name may be made to the Coastal Humane Society, 30 Range Road, Brunswick, ME 04011.
