SCARBOROUGH — The Friends of Scarborough Marsh invites the public to attend its annual auction and dinner at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church on Black Point Road.

Featuring a buffet prepared by Express Events, a cash bar, silent and live auctions and creative games of chance, the evening will give those who are passionate about marsh conservation and restoration an opportunity to support the organization’s work and help it raise money for future land acquisitions.

Items to be auctioned include a Saddleback Mountain weekend ski getaway, a three-night cross-country skiing trip at the Wentworth Inn in Jackson, N.H., a scientific research excursion with BioDiversity Research Institute to study birds or bats, an overnight including dinner and breakfast at the Black Point Inn, a guided shad fishing trip on the Saco River, a birding tour with Maine Audubon and several restaurant gift certificates.

Tickets to the event are $50 per person and are available by e-mail from info@scarboroughmarsh.org or by calling Susie Williams at 883-2414. For more information about the auction or FOSM, visit scarboroughmarsh.org.
