BRUNSWICK — Marjorie E. Ricker, 96, formerly of Brunswick, died March 28, 2013 at her home.

She was born in Poland Springs on July 19, 1916, the daughter of Elberton and Eleanor Brown Courson and graduated from Brunswick High School, Class of 1935.

Ricker was employed for many years as an operator with New England Telephone in Brunswick and Bath. She also worked at Brunswick Naval Air Station. She retired in 1968. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking and visiting Florida, where she ultimately made her home.

She was predeceased by a sister, Bertina C. Hyde, of Brunswick.

She is survived by her daughter Judith M. Thompson, of Bradenton, Fla.; son Shawn Hyde, of Harpswell; two grandsons, Jay and James Thompson, and three great-granddaughters, Kristin, Marissa and Michaela Thompson, all of Florida.

A committal service will be held July 13 at 11 a.m., at Hillcrest Cemetery, in Harpswell.
