BATH — Marie-Anne L. Favreau, 66, died Nov. 30 at her home with her children by her side after a four-year battle with cancer.

Born in Brunswick on Sept. 7, 1943, she was a daughter of Mary Morin Racine and Gerard Racine and attended local schools.

She attended Gorham State Teachers College and graduated in 1965 from Richer College in Houlton.

After college she married and had six children. She lived in Brunswick, Auburn, and finally settled in Bath in 1976.

She stayed at home for many years to raise her children. A dedicated mom, she frequently attended her children’s many sporting events and volunteered at her children’s schools.

Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved traveling to visit her children and grandchildren.

An avid crafter and talented baker, she won several awards for her cookie decorating. She derived great joy from making and decorating cookies for every family gathering.

Her other interests included reading, cooking, shopping, and attending plays at the Maine State Music Theater.

She is survived by her six children, Deborah Nadeau and her husband Ross of Topsham, Daniel Favreau of Arlington, Vt., Suzie Regan and her husband Tom of North Andover, Mass., Gail Favreau of Boston, Mike Favreau and his partner Sean Clinefelter of Grain Valley, Mo., and Sally Finnimore and her husband Jon of North Andover, Mass.; 12 grandchildren, Ryan, Julia, Danny, Lindsey, Paul, John, Tommy, Amanda, Kaleigh, Brendan, Drew and Adam; her mother, Mary Morin Racine of Bath; a sister, Agnes Parker and her husband Harold of Bath, and a brother, Gerard Racine; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours were scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick.

A celebration of her life is on Friday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. at Stetson’s Funeral Home. A gathering of friends and family will follow at The Parkwood Inn, 71 Gurnet Road, Cooks Corner.
