BRUNSWICK — Margaret Powers Perry, 87, formerly of Falmouth, died March 8 at home surrounded by family after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Topsham on Nov. 13, 1921, the daughter of Walter O. and Velzora (Edgecomb) Powers.
After attending Topsham and Brunswick schools, she graduated from Bliss Business School in 1941.
She married Francis Stearns Perry on June 5, 1948. They lived in Falmouth from 1964 until 2005, when they moved to Brunswick to reside with their daughter.
She was a devoted wife and mother who actively supported her husband’s career in education.
Her hobbies included music, dancing, and gardening.
She was predeceased by her husband Francis S. Perry on June 28, 2006.
She is survived by her children, William W. Perry of Topsham, Mark E. Perry of Brunswick and Katherine E. Perry of Brunswick; grandchildren, Kurt F. Perry and Emily K. Perry.
At her request, there will be no funeral services.
Memorial donations may be made to Coastal Humane Society, 30 Range Road, Brunswick, ME 04011. Arrangements are by Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.
