BRUNSWICK — Margaret F. Devlin, 93, of High Street, died May 12 at Hawthorne House in Freeport.

She was born March 18, 1922, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Orosz) Peter. She attended Brooklyn schools.

On Oct. 19, 1946, she married Thomas Devlin. He died on June 21, 2004.

Margaret was a homemaker, but also worked as a clerk in a federal library and as an accountant for the U.S. government in Greece. During her husband’s military career, she enjoyed traveling with him throughout Europe. One of her favorite hobbies was gardening.

Devlin is survived by a sister, Irene Krolewski, of Brooklyn, and by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation was held May 14. Interment next to her husband at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta will be at a later date.
