BRUNSWICK — Margaret Derocher, 90, of Brunswick, died Wednesday at Horizons Living and Rehablitiation Center.
She was born Feb. 28, 1922, the daughter of Cleveland P. and Susan E. Sparks Curtis. She moved to Bowdoinham when she was five and attended schools there.
Derocher was employed for several years at Auerbach Shoe in Brunswick. She of a member of the Second Baptist Church in Bowdoinham, where she was a member of the choir. She was a 50-year member of Merrymeeting Grange in Bowdoinham.
Derocher was predeceased by her husband Joseph L. “Frank” Derocher, who died Oct. 16, 1988, and a brother, Arthur P. “Bud” Curtis. She is survived by a son, Paul Derocher, and his wife Patricia of Lisbon Falls; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brackett Funeral Home in Brunswick, with the Rev. John Stratton officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in the spring.
