PORTLAND — They’ll play all day and into the night Tuesday, June 21, during Make Music Portland’s fourth annual summer celebration throughout the city.

Event spokesman Max Mogensen said almost 80 bands or artists are ready to play in public and private venues, including Monument Square, Lincoln Park, Longfellow Square and Bell Buoy Park.

Private venues include Andy’s Old Port Pub, the Porthole Restaurant and Bar, Peaks Cafe on Peaks Island, and Dog Gardens in Freeport.

Free performances will take place from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. There will also be free jam sessions and music lessons. Make Music Portland is part of a global celebration involving more than 700 cities worldwide, including 30 in the U.S.
