BATH — Majella Marie Cormier, 102, died away Nov.  8 at the Bodwell Hospice Center in Brunswick.

She was born in New Brunswick, Canada on Oct. 24, 1909, the daughter of Cesarie and Cesoree Doiron.

She was a graduate of the Normal School in Fredericton, N.B., and she taught school in Canada until 1937.

In 1937 she married William Cormier and moved to Maine to raise her family. For a short time while her children were in school, she worked for the Bath Daily Times and later for Canal bank, retiring after 11 years of service in 1974.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

In 1986 her husband died, followed later by her son Prime L. Cormier.

She is survived by daughters Armande Mock and her husband Sanford of Brunswick, Ga., Carmen Mank and her husband Donald of Bath, Lorraine Nyberg and her husband Robert of Nashua N.H., and Eileen Rouillard and her husband Michael of Bath; daughter-in-law, Pamela Cormier of Bath; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Nov. 10 at All Saints Parish, St. Mary’s Church and arrangements were handled by the David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath.
