FALMOUTH — The southbound Maine Turnpike exit to the Falmouth Spur has been temporarily reopened.

The first phase of the Exit 52 rehabilitation is complete, but work will continue on the bridge through November. Additional closures to the on and off ramps are expected to be announced, according to a Maine Turnpike Authority press release.

In the next phase of work, crews will raise the bridge to increase the clearance over the Turnpike, which will close the ramp for about one week. The southbound off-ramp will also close again over the summer until the major construction is done in November.

Future ramp closure dates and alerts will be posted in advance on electronic message signs in the area of the exit. More information on the project can be found at MaineTurnpike.com.
