FALMOUTH — The Maine State Ballet will hold an open house for students and their families from 5-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 8, at its studio on Route 1 in Falmouth.
The dance company will also hold open auditions for “The Nutcracker” Thursday and Friday, Sept. 10 and 11:
• Sept. 10, ages 7 and 8 from 4-4:45 p.m.; ages 9 and 10 from 5:15-6 p.m., and ages 11 and 12 from 6:30-7:15 p.m.
• Sept. 11, ages 13-15 from 4-5 p.m., and ages 16 and up from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
The audition fee is $10. Girls must wear ballet slippers, a black leotard and pink tights. For more information, visit mainestateballet.org or call 781-7672.
