The Maine Lightning U-13 baseball team reached the semifinals of the recent Sunset Classic tournament at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, S.C., as Brendan Tinsman, of Cape Elizabeth (holding bat), won the home run derby contest.
The team included Tinsman, Cumberland’s A.J. Eisenhart, Falmouth’s Garrett Aube, Griffin Aube, Colby Emmertz, Jacob Preston and Aidan Smith, Portland’s Griffin Watson, Bangor’s Alex McKenney and Hampden’s Casey Sudbeck and coaches Mike D’Andrea and John Eisenhart.
