YARMOUTH — Louise Theresa Stackpole, 85, died in her sleep May 21 at her home in Yarmouth.

Stackpole grew up in South Boston before marrying Francis J. Stackpole of Brockton, Mass., in 1950. They raised their family and lived in Whitman, Mass., for 39 years before moving to Fryeburg.

In 2005, Stackpole moved to Yarmouth to live with her daughter Linda, son-in-law Joseph, and their children, Elizabeth and Peter. Louise and Francis would often travel south to Massachusetts to visit their daughter, Denise, and her children, Erin and Brad, as well as Louise and Francis’ son, Jimmy, and his daughter, Courtney.

Louise also kept in close contact with their son, Jimmy, until his death from pancreatic cancer in 2004. Stackpole was first and foremost a lover of family and often held Sunday dinners with all of her children and grandchildren at her side. She was also a lover of animals and they loved her as well.

Stackpole was predeceased by her husband, Francis; son, Jimmy; sisters Alice and Mary; and brother George.

Stackpole is survived by her daughters Denise Duval of Medway, Mass.; Linda Schrader and her husband, Joseph, of Yarmouth; and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Schrader, of Yarmouth.
