FREEPORT — Lois Evelyn Snow Douglass, 87, died Feb. 25 at the Freeport Nursing Home.

She was born at Orr’s Island on July 30, 1926, the daughter of Henry and Eleanor (Leeman) Snow. She attended Orr’s Island school, Brunswick High School and Arlington, Mass., High School. Over the years she was employed at Poland Spring Inn, Princeton Inn and Jersey Bell Telephone. She previously resided in Princeton Junction and Mountain Lake, N.J., where she leaves many dear friends. In later years she resided in Brunswick.

She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Eleanor Snow; her former husband, Norman Douglass; her sister, Lucille Moore; and nephew, Aaron Moore. She is survived by her sister, Lorraine Goldrup (David); her nieces, Linda Goldrup and Gayle Elliot of Bridgton; her nephews, Douglass Moore (Terry) of Durham,  Douglass Moore of Lisbon Falls, Adam Moore of West Bowdoin and Ryan Elliot of Scarborough; and many cousins.

Spring interment will be in Orr’s Island Cemetery.
