Falmouth’s Patty Stogsdill and Mary Whited and Scarborough’s Cyndi Bona were part of the Maine senior women’s basketball team which won a gold medal at the National Senior Games in Palo Alto, Calif., last week. Maine went 8-1 and defeated the Colorado Herd, 28-27, in double-overtime, in the final. It was the first gold medal won by a Maine women’s team at the National Senior Games.
