The 16U-Gold Maine Junior’s volleyball team competed in the New England regional volleyball tournament which was recently held at St. Joseph’s College. The team made it to the championship match where they played well but lost a very close match, 25-27, 24-26.Their success during the day-long tournament means they will move up in the rankings to 16th place out of over 120 teams in the New England region. The team has players from Biddeford, Cumberland, Falmouth, Gorham and Scarborough. Their next tournament will be in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
