Several local residents were part of the Nor’easters synchronized skating team which swept the podium at the 2010 Boston Synchronized Skating Classic last month. The Open Pre-Juvenile and Open Adult teams both earned gold medals in their respective divisions. Participants included Portland’s Caroline Paras, Falmouth’s Caroline DeNoia, Freeport’s Carrie McCormick, Yarmouth’s Cindy Bolles, Jordan Driscoll and Caroline Samaras, Cape Elizabeth’s Leah Israel, Harpswell’s Sadie Pressman and John Niles Merrill and Brunswick’s Sophie Calderwood and Heidi Coffin.
