The GPS Phoenix U14 boys’ soccer team, featuring several local players, won the US Club Soccer Nationals tournament in Aurora, Colorado on July 25. GPS Phoenix edged Leesburg, Virginia, 2-1, in double overtime, in the final. GPS Phoenix also finished third of 12 teams in the very competitive, year-long NPL league that consists of teams from throughout New England.
