Local ski standouts compete in Eastern championships

Several Nordic ski standouts from Forecaster Country helped the Maine team to a third-place finish at last weekend’s Eastern High School championships. Vermont placed first and Massachusetts edged out Maine for the second spot. Yarmouth’s Carter Hall was the top individual finisher (coming in 14th among 103 boys). The team also included Hall’s Yarmouth teammates Lucy Alexander (39th out of 98 girls), Sam Alexander (55th), Grace Cowles (59th), Meredith Hawkins (94th) and Jasper Houston (97th), Falmouth’s Gabby Farrell (37th), Gabe Mahoney (22nd), Hadley Moreau (20th) and Anna Morin (49th), Freeport’s Lily Johnston (31st), Lily LaMarre (95th), Elizabeth Martin (45th), Elijah McCurdy (45th) and Jasmine Olins (92nd) and Merriconeag’s Forrest McCurdy (32nd), Samantha Pierce (38th), Graham Roeber (82nd) and Carlin Tindall (76th).
