Falmouth’s Charlie Lalumiere and Cumberland Foreside’s Hannah Twombly, both age 14 and racing for the Portland Yacht Club’s 420 race team, came in second overall out of 41 boats competing in their class at a recent event at the Hingham (Mass.) Yacht Club. It was the first regatta for both Lalumiere, the skipper, and Twombly, the crew. The tandem then came in fifth out of 77 boats at a race in New Bedford, Mass. Falmouth’s Jack Zinn was second in the Laser 4.7 class at that race.
