The Portland Babe Ruth baseball team, featuring players from Falmouth, Portland and South Portland, had its run come to a close last week at the U14 World Series in Westfield, Massachusetts after going 3-2 in pool play. Portland won three of its first four games, then lost, 3-0, to Wisconsin to fall short of the knockout round. Portland allowed the second fewest runs of the 12 teams participating in the tournament.
