Fourteen local players recently made history when they became the first Squirt level team from the Casco Bay Hockey Association to compete in Canada. The Bruins, featuring Will Armstrong, Brandon Baxter, Camden Carrier, John Downey, Blake Flaherty, Andrew Langdon, Caleb Morrison, Owen Potenziano, Andrew Ray, Liam Stewart, Maura Verrill, David Woodford, Charlie Woolsey, and Ian Young, along with coach Kurt Morrison, of Yarmouth, and assistant coaches Brian Downey and Tad Woolsey, took part in the Delta March Break tournament in Saint John, New Brunswick. The Bruins won four games to reach the final, then lost to Kent South. (Photo courtesy Dawn Flaherty)
