Several players from the greater Portland area took part on the Maineiax elite lacrosse team which went undefeated at the Capitol Cup Lacrosse tournament in Richmond, Va. The Maineiax defeated the Lady Rocs (of Rochester, N.Y.), 12-6, the National X-team, 10-3, and the Dodgers of Connecticut, 12-10. They also tied the Long Island Yellow Jackets, 8-8.
