The Maine Gaelic Sports Alliance U-12 boys and girls participated in the recent National Continental Youth championships in Canton, Mass., which showcased all Gaelic Sports. The Maine GSA, in its inaugural year, fielded a spirited youth hurling team known as the Gael Force. The team of kids, between the ages of 8 and 14, has practiced all summer long at Wainright Field, gearing up for this event. The Gael Force went 0-4 for their efforts, competing against teams from Philadelphia, New York and Chicago and with much more experience and longevity with some of the teams playing Gaelic football and/or hurling since they were 4 or 5 years old.
