The Casco Bay Midget Major U-18 hockey team recently earned a berth in the USA Hockey Tier II national tournament in Rochester, N.Y., to be played this weekend. Casco Bay won the state championship in November. The team includes Brunswick’s Conor Kelly and Carl Sickel, Cape Elizabeth’s Sam St. Germain, Cumberland’s Carter Cyr, Sam Kurland, Matthew Labbe, John McDonald and Justin Murphy, Falmouth’s Julien Clement, Dan Hanley, Tim Hanley, Jay Hurdman, Matt MacDowell and Dixon Pike, South Portland’s Charles Daigle and Yarmouth’s Alex Kurtz. The team is coached by Sean Hanley with the assistance of Charlie Clement.
