BOWDOIN – Lisa Gaye Gilliam, 56, of Bowdoin, died Nov. 5, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born Jan. 2, 1959, in Brunswick, to John A. Elliott and Joyce (Currier) Lewis. She attended local schools and graduated from Mt. Ararat High School with the Class of 1977.

Gilliam enjoyed bowling and will be remembered as someone who would try anything twice. Her family was of the utmost importance to her and she will be missed by many.

Gilliam is survived by her mother, Joyce Lewis, of Orr’s Island; her husband of 26 years, Robert N. Gilliam Jr.; two sons, Frank W. Bove III and Brandon Gilliam; a daughter, Megan R. (Lucien) Presnell; two stepdaughters, Kim Gilliam and Heather Heath; a brother, Rick Elliott; a sister, Kristy Dwelley; and six grandchildren, Hayden, Kalyn, Desirae, Emma, Maelee and Kaedynce.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick, officiated by the Rev. Mandy Lape.
