BRUNSWICK — Linda M. Tucker, 73, of James Street, died Aug. 19 at Mid Coast Hospital.

She was born April 7, 1942, in Portland, the daughter of James Edward and Marilyn Seavey Norton. She graduated from Deering High School in its class of 1960.

She married Rodney L. Tucker in Portland.

Linda worked for many years for Verizon Communications, and ultimately retired from the company.

She was predeceased by her sister, Cheryl E. Burns.

Tucker is survived by a son, James R. Tucker, and his wife, Mirechel, of Old Orchard Beach; her two granddaughters, Ailish and Kiesha Tucker, of Old Orchard Beach; and her cousins, Rebecca A. Young, of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Shawn Burns, of Corpus Christi, Texas.

A funeral service was held Aug. 24 at Brackett Funeral Home, in Brunswick. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery, in Falmouth.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tucker’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Topsham, ME 04086.
