BATH — Lillian M. Perkins, 95, died March 9 at Dionne Commons Assisted Living in Brunswick.

She was born in Bath, a daughter of Leon and Etelda Menard Belanger. She was educated in Bath schools and attended Morse High School.

Perkins worked at Congress Sportswear Co. for a number of years and later at the Butterfly Shop in Woolwich.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She enjoyed dancing, gardening, working around her home and bocce ball. She was a hard worker who took great pride in taking care of her family and providing a good home.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda J. Garside on May 9, 2001; brothers, Leon and Joseph Belanger; and three sisters, Sarah Snowdon, Rita St. Pierre and Laura Bergeron.

She is survived by her son, Wayne N. Perkins and wife, Darlene, of Phippsburg; two sisters, Jennie Belanger and Rose Caron, both of Brunswick; five grandchildren, Denise, Lisa, Suzanne, Derek and Shawn; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks for the care she received while a resident at Dionne Commons. 

There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 14, at All Saints Parish, Bath. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery later in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Mary’s Church, 144 Lincoln St., Bath, ME 04530.
