FORT MYERS, FLORIDA — Lillian Grover Robinson, 89, a former resident of North Yarmouth, died July 3, surrounded by her daughter and two dogs.

Born Nov. 14, 1925, she was the youngest of 15 children of Fred S. and Marie (Bouvier) Liberty. She grew up in North Yarmouth and graduated from Greely High School, in Cumberland.

Robinson also was a graduate of Northeast Business School, and went on to work as a head teller at Norway Savings Bank. After marrying Stanley R. Grover, she became a financial aid officer at Bowdoin College.

Lillian later earned a degree in accounting from University of Maine at Augusta, and then served as an accountant in the Freeport School System.

She married Spencer Robinson in 1994, and they lived in Maine, Arizona and Florida.

She was predeceased by both her husbands, and by her eldest son, Stanley C. Grover, who died June 13.

Robinson is survived by her older sister, Irene Brown, of Cumberland; her son and his wife, Terry and Cindy Grover, of South Hadley, Massachusetts; her daughter, Darlene Grover, of Fort Myers, Florida; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated July 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Yarmouth. Burial next to her first husband, Stanley, followed in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Augusta.
