BATH — Lila Natalie Green, 83, died peacefully after a short battle with cancer April 2, at Gosnell Hospice Home in Scarborough.

She was born in Boston, and was a former resident of Bath. She was a compassionate and loving caretaker of children and handicapped adults. She enjoyed being with her family and bringing the children to the park, the waterfront and the library in Bath. She was devoted to her family and always put them before herself.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn E. Curtis and husband, Paul Devlin, Deborah A. Small and husband, Howard Small, Cynthia L. Alford, and Heidi Grover and husband, Paul Grover; son, James B. Green; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and niece, Kendra Chubbuck and family.

The funeral service was held at the First Baptist Church, Bath on April 8, with Rev. Steve Rowe officiating. A reception lunch at the church hall followed.
