The campaign to represent House District 47 (Yarmouth, Chebeague Island and Long Island) was hard-fought, but always civil. I am humbled that the voters of all three towns chose me to represent them in the 127th Maine Legislature. I will continue to devote my time and energy to the task, always keeping residents’ interests in the forefront.
I would also to thank my opponent, Republican Rick Snow of Yarmouth. Our campaigns were about issues, and never resorted to negative or personal attacks. Rick always showed me every courtesy and kindness.
While it will not be easy to obtain consensus on important issues in the upcoming Legislature, I pledge to do my best, to reach across the aisle for the best interests of our residents, and to think creatively and as wisely as possible about solutions.
